May is Mental Health Awareness Month

"Mental health is one of your greatest assets. It helps you focus at work, overcome obstacles, get along with the people around you—and get well and stay well."  #MentalHealthAmerica #LivingWell #4Mind4Body

According to Dr. Caroline Leaf, toxic thoughts—such as stress, worry, fear, anger and unforgiveness—actually cause damage to the brain. Chemicals are released into the brain, causing chaos and damage. Those toxic thoughts can cause a loss of sleep or of the ability to do your job right, physical illness and more.


To keep my mind healthy: 

1) I guard my mind and thoughts;

2) I keep myself in an attitude of faith, praise, thanksgiving and truth; 

3) I take time from the busyness of life and REST/selfcare.  

Mark 7:21-22, “For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.”

Phil. 2:5, Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4:23-24, "and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness."
