I do not know about you, but it just seems that every time I look around there is someone grieving the loss of a loved one; someone asking for prayer for some illness that have overtaken him/her; someone losing his/her mind because the bills are not being paid, children in trouble with the law, cost of living going up but the paycheck decreasing. Lord have mercy.
My friends, we must continually praise God in the present and in the future, praise Him now, praise Him today, praise Him in advance. My friends, we do not know what tomorrow holds, so we must live each day like it is our last, whether good or bad. As for me, personally, I am leaning and depending on God for everything. When adversities and struggles come my way, I put on my big girl panties. I am no longer a babe drinking milk, I am feeding off the Word, I am witness for our Lord. I am not a wimp, I am a sister walking on the narrow road.
In Paul's letter to the church in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Paul wrote, "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." (KJV) My friends, I pray that as disciples of Christ, we go to the Lord in prayer instead of trying to find comfort and answers in man. We must keep praising God through good times and in bad times. I know it may be difficult in bad times, but we serve a God who hears our cries. I promise you when you turn your troubles over to the Lord, He takes care of them for you. I am a big girl, I know what I need to do during hurting times, I know what I need to do for my friends during their hurting times. It feels good to have on my big girl panties! I am praying and praising because I know God has everything under HIS control! Glory.
With all my heart, mind, and soul, I will continue to thank the Lord in good times and in bad times, and I pray you will too! I have my big girl panties on because I know that with God by and on my side, I can handle all things that come my way. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Friends, you are a big boy, you are a big girl, no wimps here.
Be blessed, stay prayed up, keep hanging on to the hem of Jesus' garment. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Glory.
