Commit To The Lord And Your Plans Will Succeed

My friends, to God be the glory! I came home today, expecting to take me a quick nap before I head out to New Year's Eve Service, but I am too excited to take a nap. I am excited because the Lord has been good to me each and every day of 2009! Even when I was not good to myself, God was still there to comfort me and keep me safe. Even though I made my own plans for all I wanted to do in 2009, God is the one who directed my plans. Proverbs 16:1-3, "To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."

My friends, as you make those resolutions for 2010, commit them to the Lord, He will direct your path. Ask God for His blessings over your plans. We just need to remember that we must ask God to make our plans come through. We can make all the plans and commitments to certain people and things, but if it is not in the will of God, no matter what you say or do, it will not succeed.

I pray that we will all continue to ask God for guidance over our plans. In fact, let us let go of our selfishness and let the Lord know that we will commit to Him and His plans for our lives, whatever they may be. I have a feeling that we will start to succeed more if we just commit to the Lord and what He wants us to do.
